10:00 AM - coffee and a stroll in sellwood

There is no place more walkable than Sellwood. It's a section of town with an amalgamation of young families, creative types, and long-time grumpy residents. Start your day at the local coffee shop, then follow my map for a great stroll to start your day.

1:00 pM - lela's bistro for a bahn mi sandwich

Pork Belly Bahn Mi sandwich. So good. So, so good. A bit of sweet with the dose of savory makes for one of the best sandwiches that exist.

2:00 PM - stroll down nw 23rd

NW 23rd is the coolest shopping district I have seen in any city. It beats out the best from L.A., Paris, and Chicago. No, I'm not exaggerating. NW 23rd has dozens of cool shops, both local and national, but never feels commercial. I have no idea how they did it!

3:00 PM - salt & Straw for ice cream

Come for the samples, leave with the salted caramel. Salt & Straw has some truly oddball flavors, including bone marrow (made with real bone marrow), and blood pudding (made with blood). And they're both delicious. But salted caramel is blow your socks off amazing

6:30 pm - the best views in town at departure restaurant

The views, the food. The views, the food. I just can't decide what's better. But if the weather allows it, sit out on the deck for an amazing 270 degree views. And order all the small plates you can, because they're amazing!
